It's that time of year again! Craft shows and farmer's markets are gearing up for the summer. Memorial Day weekend has come and gone and it's long over due for me to start planting in the garden. Life has thrown our family some curve balls lately, so there's no better time for me to go out and dig in the yard and relieve some stress! Of course, in typical Northern Nevada style, it's been cool and raining all last week (never mind the extremely dry and warm winter that we've had). I was loving all the rain! Of course, now we are back to being really hot. As the saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Nevada, just wait 5 minutes."
My first show coming up is the Creekside Mercantile Artisan Craft Show on Saturday, June 6th from 10am-5pm. I'll be there with many other local artists, businesses, and food vendors. The Children's Cabinet will also be there and will be accepting donations of new clothing items for infants through teens, non-perishable foods, new baby items, new stuffed animals, etc. Cash donations will also be accepted.
